Kayhays Designed Pond Water Filter

Our filters are based on Biological filtration, the cleansing bacteria pumped over the Bio Balls remove toxic ammonia and nitrites and various other chemicals from the water. When back washing with the modification the media releases the fish waste to the drain or garden.

Our new filters work a treat, based on an ONGA filter case and Sta-Rite multipart valve and then with our major modification to agitate the media during back washing, you will keep your pond crystal clear for years to come. All filters need a UV for clarification and disinfection, and back wash on a weekly basis to either your sewer or straight to the garden. These filters run 24 hrs per day.

The Kayhays Filter is our own design. Our new filters, designed and built by Kayhays Gardens, act just like a pool filter, (but with a different filtration media) so you will never get your hands dirty again.

This Emaux filter & pump combinations present an optimal pairing of Emaux filter and pump equipment. The combination is energy efficient and includes an outstanding filtration process. Providing ease of mind and trouble-free installation.

Available in 1/2 HP (18") and 1/3 HP (16")
Includes: 32mm Sink Bio Balls and ingeneous backwash feature.

Emaux Cartridge Filter is ideal for maintaining a clean and healthy pond environment. It is easy to install and maintenance as the heavy duty ring-lock lid allows easy cleaning and replacement of the cartridge element. All Emaux pumps have obtained CE and CSA Standard to guarantee safe usage. Using a Thermal Plastic Filter, this is a cost effective filtration. Perfect for in-ground and above-ground pond systems.

Featuring a Top Mount Valve constructed using ABS material with heavy duty plastic handle. The valves come in either 4-way or 6-way, which covers all the necessary operating functions needed.

A high quality oil filled pressure gauge is applied for easy inspection of the operation pressure to ensure reliable operation.Maximum working pressure ranges from 40 PSI to 100 PSI.

Kenthurst Range of Aqua-Ring Filters

Aqua-Ring bio-mechanical filters are designed for use in recirculating ponds or tank systems. Repeated passes of water through the units create an environment for nitrifying bacteria to flourish on the huge surface area which controls ammonia and delivers a clean fish friendly environment.

Biomechanical media is especially designed to achieve a large surface area of approximately 1,000 sq metres per cubic metre of material.

Filter maintenance is kept low due to the design of the media backwashing the system. With the movement of a few valves, the filter dumps accumulated fish waste which if left untouched would deprive fish of valuable oxygen. Aqua-Ring media has been extensively tested and gives outstanding water quality.

We have a range of models, including:

• Kenthurst600 treats up to 13,000 litres
• Kenthurst 700 treats up to 20,000 litres
• Kenthurst 800 treats up to 25,000 litres

Ultraviolet light equipment is necessary with the filters to give crystal clear water results.

KayHays Trickle Filter

The Kayhays Trickle Filter is a combination system of biological and mechanical filtration types. This filter system is very effective and can be combined with others in series, making the possible scale of implementation virtually unlimited.

Our KayHays Trickle Filter design removes ammonia and nitrites leaving the water crystal clear. This is achieved due to the large valume that exposes the water to an larger surface area of aerobic bacteria that consume the nitrates.

A combination of bio balls & mechanical mesh which work in harmony with bacteria to gradually clean the water, leaving a healthy environment for fish and other aquatic animals that you introduce to you pond or water feature.
